Privacy policy

Your files. Your Mac.

Transflo is developed by Ali Fayed. File processing runs on your device. This policy explains the app, this website, and what happens when you contact us.

Effective October 19, 2026

The short version

The Transflo app does not send your files to us for processing. It has no user accounts, advertising SDKs, or app analytics. We do not sell your personal information.

Files and local data

The app reads files you select or drop to perform the requested operation. It may process their contents and metadata locally using macOS frameworks, bundled media helpers, or an installed iWork app. Outputs are saved on your Mac. Temporary working files may be created locally; they are not a cloud storage service.

Settings, wheel choices, and recent Move destination paths are saved locally in macOS preferences. The floating shelf and job information are part of the local app workflow. Preferences can remain after removing the app; contact support if you need help resetting them. Outputs and files you intentionally save remain until you delete them.

Connections you choose

Choosing Check for Updates sends an HTTPS request to GitHub’s public release API. GitHub receives normal network information such as your IP address and the Transflo update-checker user agent. The request does not include your files or filenames. Opening a release page or source-code link takes you to GitHub, whose privacy statement applies.

AirDrop, Terminal, clipboard actions, and other system integrations run only when selected. Sharing sends data to the recipient or service you choose, under that service’s behavior and policies. Transflo does not receive a copy.

macOS permissions

Finder Automation reads the selected files for the keyboard shortcut. Pages, Keynote, or Numbers Automation is used for relevant document conversions. Notifications report job completion. macOS can request access to protected folders. You can review or revoke permissions in System Settings → Privacy & Security, and notifications in System Settings → Notifications. Revoking access can prevent related features from working.

This website

Cloudflare delivers and protects this website and necessarily processes connection information such as IP addresses, requested URLs, and browser information. Cloudflare may retain operational or security records according to its services and policies; we do not promise a fixed retention period for those records. Read Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

We do not add advertising, visitor analytics, tracking pixels, third-party fonts, or embedded video services. We do not set application tracking cookies. Cloudflare’s security services may use their own mechanisms. If you choose a color theme, the browser stores only that preference locally; clearing this site’s browser data removes it. The interactive wheel is a visual preview and does not read or upload files.

When you contact support

If you email ali.fayed.devacc@gmail.com, your email address, message, and attachments are processed to answer your request. Share only what is necessary. We keep correspondence as needed to resolve the request and maintain relevant support or security records. You can ask us to delete it, subject to legitimate legal or security needs. Email providers also process messages under their own policies. GitHub issues are public; do not post private files or sensitive logs there.

Your choices and requests

You can delete local output files and browser data, revoke macOS permissions, and stop using or uninstall the app. There is no Transflo cloud account to delete. For access, correction, deletion, or other applicable privacy requests concerning support correspondence, contact ali.fayed.devacc@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to object, restrict processing, or complain to a data-protection authority. Service providers may process website traffic and support messages in other countries.

Children and changes

Transflo is a general-purpose file utility, not a service directed at children. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us. Material changes to this policy will be reflected here with a revised effective date.
